Hello Everyone!

Today a new challenge starts at Create a Smile blog and we are challenging you to make a card about a Happy Mail.
As soon as I saw this theme I grabbed the Bearmail stamps set from Create A Smile ( SSS | CRT ).
This set is perfect for any season happy mail cards. HERE you can check my Autumnal card I made recently and read about the Three Basic Techniques every CAS cardmaker should use occasionally, and today I am sharing a Winter themed one.
To begin my card I stamped various images of parcels and envelopes in embossing ink down to a white cardstock notecard and heat embossed the impressions with a very fine white powder.
Then knowing the resist quality of heat embossing I blended softly Distress inks. You can check the full list in the Supplies Used section at the end of my post.
I trimmed a stripe of White Glitter cardstock and a vertical panel from soft grey cardstock.
Next I stamped the banner using a label stamp from Bearmail set. To achieve an ombre look I stamped it first in bright red dye ink, then inked the lower part of the stamp with a dark red ink, dubbed off the ink with a paper tissue and stamped it down again.
To assemble my card I glued the glitter stripe to the grey panel, which I foam mounted to the cardnote.
The red label is popped up with a super thick foam tape.
To finish off my card I glued assorted sparkling sequins ( SSS | SHP ) with the stainless Multi Medium Matte Glue and added colour accents in the red glitter.
