The new AAA Cards Challenge is about using a perfect sketch. Get inspired and play with us.
Hello Everybody!
Today a new game starts at AAA Cards Challenge - #139.
For this game we are challenging you to make a Clean and Simple card following the suggested sketch. Optionally you can add a twist and make a shaker card.
Here is a very simple sketch. You can use any shape you like - a circle, a square, a leaf shape, a heart shape.
In my today's card I incorporated both challenge themes - followed the sketch and made a Clean and Simple shaker card.
To make this card I used Simon Says Clear Stamps HELLO DARLING ( SSS ).
This is a perfect stamps set for Clean and Simple addicts including several images, graphical elements and a bunch of sentiments.
For the bright shaker background I mixed Distress inks matching the palette of my shaker filling.
I stamped a bicycle image in Stazon ink directly onto an acetate piece slightly off the center to the right.
The sentiment is stamped twice - for the first time in Archival ink onto the Ivory card panel and for the second - onto a black strip and heat embossed in fine white powder.
Having assembled the card, I added a few sequins to the surface of the shaker and below the sentiment.
Multi Medium Matte Glue holds firmly sequins on acetate and leaves no stains on paper.

Tips on Making This Card:
- Make only one impression on a piece of acetate, even with a precision stamping tool like MISTI. Acetate sticks to stamps and the second impression will not be precise.
- Match background ink blending and sequins in colour.
- Blend the lightest ink shade in the lower part of the shaker to make the sequins stand out.
- Adhere a few sequins inside the shaker in the upper part.
- Glue several sequins onto acetate and outside the shaker for additional shine.
