Wondering what simple techniques can help you make a Clean and Simple card quickly?
Hello Everyone!
Hello Everyone!
Today a new challenge starts at Create a Smile and we are challenging you to make a greeting a Fall card.
There are three elementary techniques that will make a Clean and Simple card if you are short of time - masking, paper piercing and colouring.
I used all three of them for my todays card.
The focal image is a cute bear from Create A Smile Bearmail stamps set ( SSS | CRT | CRT ). To keep fewer paper layers and put on a hat on my bear I used masking. I stamped the hat first, then covered it with a fussy cut mask and stamped a bear image.
A stripe of patterned paper from the Fall Break paper pad creates a scenery behind the bear.
I kept the bear stamp in my MISTI Tool, then layered the patterned stripe over the card panel and stamped the bear image down to it. Next I fussy cut out the bear from the stripe.

The bear image is stamped in alcohol friendly ink and coloured with Copic Sketch markers.
The patterned paper helped me to pick the markers for colouring and to keep the card in colour harmony.
To assemble the card I glued the pierced paper to frame the bear and stamped down the sentiment from Create A Smile Bearmail stamps set ( SSS | CRT | CRT ) in black archival ink for crisp impression.
Finally I foam mounted the card panel to a white card note.

Ksenija!!! This guy is so beautifully colored, he's nearly jumping off of my computer screen! What a perfect little scenery strip - love that paper collection! Not sure what 'pawstie' is but I want it!

Thank you, dear Michele! This is a beautiful Fall Collection, even I could not resist it, although I use patterned paper rarely. Pawstie? I guess this is a combination of paws and post :)
