Rustic Christmas

Hello Everyone!

Last night the first snowfall happened in Moscow. And somehow I'm not glad about it, I would prefer the gorgeous Fall to go on. However, my cards are dedicated to Christmas and New Year already. People have invented the brightest decorations for the darkest period of a year. Today I'll share a new Christmas card.

My card was inspired by the wonderful card of Karin made for Waltzingmouse Pajama Party last week. I loved the idea of solid stamping on a vellum and overlaying with it the patterned paper.

I'm entering this card to one of my favourite challenges - Addicted to CAS #50, because the code word this week is

I'm also linking this card up to STAMPlorations October Challenge, because the theme is

I don't have any of STAMPlorations stamps, but I would be glad to win one. And I'm submitting this card to Allsorts Challenge also inviting us to use EMBOSSING and offering a 12 per cent discount at Flonz stamps to challenge participants!
Flonz stamps!

Thanks a lot for stopping by!

  1. The reindeer looks so good stamped on the vellum, and the patterned paper you've chosen is just right for the card. Karen x

    1. Thank you, Karen. Glad to know people like it, because I rarely use patterned paper, this is not my comfort zone :)

  2. This is a fantastic card. I love your background paper, and how you stamped your reindeer on vellum. I cannot believe you already have snow and winter. I am running my air conditioner here in San Diego.

    1. Thank you, Joyce! It's a bit early snowing even for Moscow, usually the first wet snow is here about 5-7th November. We jumped over the rainy Fall part right into windy November weather. I wish I needed an air conditioner instead of the heating :)

  4. Great design. Love the red and white embossing on the vellum ... really beautiful. And the vellum gives a soft look to the bright patterned paper background. Thanks for joining us at ATCAS.

  7. Great card .....loving the negative stamping on the vellum, it's so effective. As is the way you've managed to mute the tones of the designer paper. Thanks for playing along at ATCAS.
