Today a new challenge starts at Create a Smile blog and we are challenging you to make a Winter themed card.
I share a simple recipe of making a a card with a Winter landscape without seasonal stamps.
Once more I used Bearmail stamps set for my card. I playing gain and again with this great set full of post related images and phrases.
I have already demonstrated a simple way to make an Autumn themed card with the same set HERE.

My today's card is strongly influenced by Kristina Werner's card with three Christmas scenes. However she had ready made Christmas stamps with landscapes.
There are several Christmas color recipes. And kraft and candy stripes is one of the most traditional ways to add a Winter flavour to any card.
I trimmed a band of candy stripes from Merry & Bright patterned paper.

To create a focal element I die cut a circle with one of the dies from the Nested Circles set and stamped a mail box in Tuxedo Black ink.
Then I coulored the impression with Copic Sketch markers and drew a simple Winter landscape in the background.

What makes a card look Winter? Of course, it is snow.
To add snow I used two media.
I drew dots with embossing ink pen and heat embossed them with a puffing powder.

The second medium I used was the True Snow Paste. I simply applied it with a synthetic brush to create snow drifts on the mail box and in front of it.
To finish off my card I glued the candy stripe to a kraft card note and foam mounted the circle for extra dimension.
This card has Three Elements I am trying to include in all of my Clean and Simple cards. If you are interested to know what are these elements, please hop over HERE.
