Every year and season bring us new techniques and brands. I am sharing a card combining three of my favourites.
Hello Everybody!
Hello Everybody!
Today I am sharing a card made with my favourite technique, colouring medium and the stamps brand.
In Spring 2018 I have bought Polychromos colour pencils from Faber-Castell and started exercising. I immediately fell in love with quality of these pencils - soft, oily, mixing well and covering almost all cardstock perfectly.
The most important lesson was to draw with very sharp pencils. A freshly sharpened point gives more colour to a card stock. My best sharpener is the one designed by Faber-Castell specially for Polychromos ( AMZUS | SSS ).

As a card maker addicted to colouring I am in search of stamps suitable for colouring.
These should be outline stamps without many details. Gerda Steiner Designs became one of my favourite brands this year because of adorable images which are easy to colour with various media.
In this post I am featuring again a sweet stamps set - Foxes.
Last Friday I shared a Winter CARD with the same image coloured with Copic Sketch markers. For this card I coloured the sleeping fox with Polychromos pencils.

As a card base I used Royal Purple card stock by Simon Says Stamp. It has a gorgeous colour and a very nice smooth surface.
To make this card I started with heat embossing the sentiment from an old Papertrey Ink sentiments set in fine white powder.
Then I stamped the fox in Plum Pudding dye ink and coloured the impression with pencils.

To finish off my card I used my third favourite of this year - Ombre Ink Blending Technique for Coloured Cardstock.
I have recently demonstrated several red ombre cards with Reverse Confetti (check it out HERE) and Pink And Main (check them out HERE) images.
To make ombre on Royal Purple cardstock I used three shades of Distress inks in Dusty Concord, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot.
I do not mask off the fox. I have done this once for a pencil coloured image and found out that tacky paper lifted colour from the image leaving it pale.
As the final step I splattered white paint and heat set it with a heat gun.
I am also sharing this card to the following challenges:
Crafty Calendar Challenge - December "It's Christmas Time"
Addicted to Stamps - #169 Christmas Non Traditional Colours
Fashionable Stamping - #142 Winter
Stempelkueche - #109 Snow
Muse Christmas Visions - #114 Any Holiday card
Simon Work It Wednesday - November Ho! Ho! Holiday!
Papercraft Challenges - #26 Winter Time
Christmas Card day at SSS
