Hello Everybody!
Today I am sharing a great mix of card making techniques to create a gorgeous background for Clean and Simple cards.
This is my second card with the DieCember 2018 release by Simon Says Stamp. The first card you can check out HERE on my blog.
I started with die cutting the stitch and bubbles with the Simon Says Stamp TICKLE BREEZE Wafer Dies ( SSS ) three times onto a pale blue card panel.
Next, I stamped the star fish image from the Simon Says Clear Stamps Set UNDER THE SEA ANIMALS ( SSS ) in a very light dye ink twice and coloured the impressions with my favourite pencils.
This stamps set was a part of one the the previous releases by SSS - Fluttering By.

For the soft ombre look I blended Distress Inks in Stormy Sky and Chipped Sapphire shades and also ran with the Black Soot along the edges.
Then I started assembling the card. I glued the ink blended panel onto a white card note and adhered a sentiment banner die cut from the Gold Sparkle cardstock with the YOU'VE GOT THIS Wafer Die ( SSS ) with a super thick foam tape ( SSS | AMZUK ) for extra dimension.
This wafer die is a part of the Simon Says Stamp DieCember 2018 release.
To finish off my card I added Nuvo Drops in assorted colours to some of the die cut openings. The dark blue ink blending made these drops stand out brightly.
The delicate stitched waves with bubbles match the soft line of the starfish silhouette. Ink blending emphasised the texture and created a contrasting background for the images and colourful drops.
