How to build a frame for Christmas card with one accessory stamp?
Hello Everybody!
Recently I have blogged about Building A Scene with Accessory Stamps. Today I would like to share Christmas card based on a similar idea of using smaller (accessory) stamps included in stamps sets.
This time my aim is to make a Holiday card with one stamp and frame the die cut sentiment with it.
I used only one stamp from Deck The Palms stamps set from Pink and Main and a co-ordinating die.
I started with die cutting eight pairs of flip-flops, stamping them in alcohol friendly ink and then colouring flat with Copic Sketch markers.
The die cut flip-flops are coloured with the following Copic Sketch markers: BG09, G14-29, YG17, R39, RV02-09-63.
To make a mat for my card I used Echo Park patterned paper and the biggest Stitched Rectangle die from Pink And Main.
The sentiment is die cut with the Merry Christmas die from a piece of Gold Mirror cardstock.
These die cuts are very delicate and I used Micro Dots to adhere them to the mat. Even a tiny dot on i letter is glued with a dot.
Similarly to my yesterday's CHRISTMAS TAG I foam mounted flip-flops framing the sentiment and trimmed hanging parts along the edges of my card.
The final step when my card has been assembled was to add glitter randomly to flip-flops in colour neutral shade.
I am sharing this card to the following challenges:
ATSM - #317 Make Your Mark
Jingle Belles - Mele Kalikimaka (no tropical flowers, but flip-flops)
Winter Wonderland - What you love to do at Christmas. I am dreaming of a warm Christmas
Colour Crazy Challenge - 45 Anything Goes Colouring

Tips on Making This Card:
- use a Holiday themed patterned paper for the mat
- die cut a greeting from mirror cardstock for lustrous shine
- frame the greeting with the die cut accessory image
- decorate the die cuts gently with a glitter glue
