Today I am glad to join Addicted to CAS Challenge as a Guest Designer and to share a Clean and Simple card with stencilling a glitter paste onto an acetate sheet.
THIS card of mine has been picked as CAS Perfectionist, and as a part of the prize I received a Guest Design spot for a new challenge.
The prompt word for the next two weeks is Apples.
This card is a real one-layer card without added layers of paper. To make my card I used the Fall Friends Clear Stamps and Dies set by Pink and Main (PNK | SSS).
I started with trimming the front flap at 1 1/4" and die cutting a hedgehog with a co-ordinating die on the edge of the trimmed off part.
Then I stamped an image with a help of MISTI Positioning Tool in alcohol friendly ink.
The image is coloured with Copic Sketch markers.
Using the Clouds Stencil (PNK | SSS) and two shades of Distress inks I created a cloudy sky look. I give all the supplies names at the end of this post.
From a sheet of PVC I cut a stripe sized 2 3/4" by 4 1/4" and applied Nuvo Glimmer Paste through the same stencil.
When the glitter cloud has air dried, I assembled my card with a help of high-tack tape.
I am grateful to you, if you help me running this blog.
I hope you enjoyed this card and I inspired you to try stencilling on acetate. May you have any questions, ask me in comments below. I will be glad to answer.
Thank you for stopping by! Have a great day!

Why Do I Use an Acetate Insert?
- An acetate insert brings focus on die cutting on the edge and allows to use this technique in the center of a card.
- Through an acetate insert I can see my card design inside.
- It is transparent and visually does not change the inside design elements.
- Acetate is a non-porous material and holds glitter paste without curving.
