AAA Cards | Game #123

It is a new challenge time at AAA Cards! I am late a couple of days, but still joining in to bring you a cheerful Hippo face as inspiration.

My today's card is inspired by AAA Cards Challenge and we challenge you to make a card using this sketch.

I made my today's card with an exclusive steel die Big Picture Book Hippo by Simon Says Stamp that was released a few days ago for a month-long celebration STAMPtember.

To make my card I started die cutting the Hippo face from two pieces of brown card stock.

I also die cut a mat with Stitched Rectangles dies by Simon Says Stamp and blended several shades of Distress inks through a stencil.

I added a sentiment to the lower left corner of the mat to balance the layout. I like an idea of matching the stencilled sun rays to this sentiment.

To assemble my card I popped the panel up with a piece of a fun foam and glued the Hippo's face to the center and a little bit off to the right.

I used Multi Medium Matte glue for assembling the Hippo's face, because it does not leave stains and the Marvy Uchida Jewel Picker Tool (SSS | AMZUS) to pick and place precisely tiny die cut details - ears and eyes.
