I have been waiting for this stamps set so much and it has arrived just in time. Snowdrops appeared in woods here.
Hello Everybody!
And welcome to the new AAA Cards Challenge Game #138.
For this game we are challenging you to make a Clean and Simple card with a focal element or decoration along the edge. And we are also suggesting an optional twist - Sewing.
I tried to incorporate the suggested theme, Along The Edge, three times in my card.
For my today's card I used a new set of stamps Clearly Besotted JUST A DROP (SSS) and coordinating dies which I have received just a few days ago.
I have started with trimming a white card stock panel down to 4" by 5 1/4" and stamping the first flower in the center.
Then using a die I cut a mask from the masking paper and covered the first impression.
I moved the stamp and made two more impressions overlapping with the first one.
Next I softly coloured the images with the Copic Sketch markers.
Because of the mask some of the lines were interrupted. I added the missing lines with the Faber-Castell Ecco Pigment Fineliner 0.4mm Black Ink Pen ( AMZUS ).
I have decorated the coloured card panel with sparkling jewels ( SSS | SHP ) to give it even more Spring look.
The sentiment is heat embossed in the SUPER FINE WHITE Embossing Powder ( SSS ) onto a black card stock stripe and popped up with X-Press It Double Sided FOAM TAPE FT18( SSS | AMZUS ).
Prior to assembling I have blended softly the MERMAID LAGOON Distress Oxide Ink ( SSS | AMZUS ) along the lower edge of the card note.
The coloured panel is raised with the FUN FOAM ( SSS ) for extra dimension.
To follow the suggested theme I have stamped repeatedly the image along the egde, blended ink along the edge of the card note and finally adhered the sentiment stripe also along the edge of the card panel.
