I love to create scenes with stamps and make almost one-layer cards. There is one simple technique that helps to arrange images and create a setting for them.
Hello Everybody!
Today I am sharing my last card in 2018 made for AAA Cards Challenge #130.
You will have four weeks to join us and add your creations to the links.
Our theme is to make a card with three similar elements. I picked funny reindeers from Reindeer And A Tree stamps set by Gerda Steiner Designs.
To make this card I used Double Masking Technique.
I began my card with stamping reindeers images from the top. I stamped the upper reindeer, then masked it of with a fussy cut mask, and stamped the second critter, masked it, then the third one.
All images are stamped down in Tuxedo Black ink and coloured with Copic Sketch markers.
Having coloured the images, I covered them with the same masks again and also masked off the snow hill, then softly blended Distress inks to create the scene background.
After removing the masks I drew a snow hill with a pigment ink pen.
To add falling snow I made dots with embossing ink pen and heat set them with 3D embossing powder.

To finish off my card I foam mounted the panel to a red card note, popped a candy stick up with a foam tape and added Glossy Accents to the noses and the candy stick.

gorgeous card and such cute reindeers
ReplyDeleteAnd I always love the scenes you create Ksenija! Such a superb use of masking and colour on your festive and fun card.
ReplyDeleteYou have created a fabulous scene. The masking is so perfect, as is the colouring. I like all the tiny details you have used to create this scene-like drawing in the hill, the embossing pen for the snow and adding dimension with the cane plus the gloss on this, adds even more interest-all in one CAS card! Thanks for joining Ink
