Pencil Colouring on Kraft Cardstock | Create A Smile Stamps

Playing at colour challenges often means going out of my comfort zone, but not this time.
Pencil Colouring on Kraft Cardstock
My today's card is inspired by Color Throwdown #501. I really like the suggested colour scheme, but I do not own a broad collections of coloured cardstock or inks.

I decided to find my way with a help of my favourite colouring medium - coloured pencils.

Yellow and grey colours led me to an idea of using a cute set of stamps - Create A Smile SUPERPOWERS* ( SSS | CRT ). There is an adorable Super Mouse image.

I stamped a mouse image in kraft dye ink onto a rectangle kraft card stock mat and coloured the impression with coloured pencils.

Modern coloured pencils have very good blending ability and give a perfect coverage on non-white cardstock.

To create cheese slices on the background mat I used confetti pattern Create A Smile SWOOSHES Clear Stamps Set* ( SSS | CRT ). It is also stamped in kraft shade ink and coloured with pencils.Pencil Colouring on Kraft Cardstock
To assemble my card I glued a soft grey mat to a white card note and raised the kraft mat with a fun foam.

These sentiments are part of Superpowers stamps set by Create A Smile. I stamped them in black onto yellow stripes and popped up with a super thick foam tape.

I would like also to remind you that the current challenge at Create A Smile is about making a card for a Special Day.
I hope my card will inspire you to play together with us and I will see your creation in our gallery. You can take a look at my DT card for this challenge HERE, by the way, it was also coloured with pencils.
