Butterflies

Hello everyone!
Can you stay within one style for a long time? I feel, that I am more and more interested in Mixed Media projects, not only CAS. Today I am sharing one of my first attempts to make something different. It is still pretty clean, I am not yet comfortable with different textures. We shall see where I get to in some time. Here is my card for The Mixed Media Card Challenge #14.

The Mixed Media Card Challenge #14.
Birthday Card with Live Laugh Love from IndigoBlu by Sweet Kobylkin
I started with stamping a flock of butterflies and a rose branch with Jet Black Archival Ink on a piece of IndigoBlu Mixed Media Card and colouring both images with Distress Markers. Then I heat embossed the vertical border pattern with transparent EP. Using the Distress Micro Glaze I sealed the images of butterflies and the branch. Afterwards I distressed the whole card with Aged Mahogany and Peeled Paint DIs.

To create the sentiment I painted a piece of Manila CS with Tarnished Brass DP, let it dry completely and die cut the sentiment. I covered the sentiment with Multi Medium Matte and generously covered it with Distress Glitter in Antique Linen. Later I adhered the decorated panel to a white cardbase and assembled the rest of the card.

    1. Thank you, Karen. I am still afraid of pastes and splatters and that usual mess for MM, but I'll find my way of dealing with them too :)
