Using Foil Flakes for CAS Cards

Hello Everyone!
Today I am sharing a way to use Foil Megaflakes for CAS (Clean and Simple) cards.

Megaflakes are guilding flakes made of foil to use with glue, preferably FlitterGlu. Megaflakes come in variety of shades - pure gold, silver, copper or mixed chocolate, peacock, rose gold etc. This guilding technique works perfectly on different surfaces, such as card stock, canvas or wood.

I started with applying diluted Brusho crystals to a piece of water colour paper and stamping the light bulb from Shine Bright stamp set to be released soon in archival ink. Dried the splatters and the impression with a heat gun and stamped down the butterflies in black ink, and then repeatedly in embossing ink, covered with clear embossing powder and heat set it.

I used a bar code stamp from the same set by IndigoBlu to create a foiled strip. I decided to use Autumn Blaze Megaflakes to match the yellow-red splatters.

I heat embossed the phrase from the same set in white embossing powder, cut it in stripes and used foamed tape to add dimension to the card.

I hope you like the card and my suggested use of Megaflakes. Give it a try!
