Halloween is a perfect reason to pull out Copic markers and Distress inks and create a colourful, lush dramatic scenery.
This Holiday calls for dramatically looking cards with strong colours and intense ink blending.
This card is inspired by AAA Cards Challenge #126 and we challenge you to make a moonlit card.
To make my card I inked the exclusive Simon Says Stamp Frightful Fun stamps set for the first time.
I started with heat embossing the sentiment from this set in fine white powder, then stamping and masking off a pumpkin image.
Using PURPLE TAPE ( SSS | AMZUS ) I masked off a vertical stripe on my card panel and blended several shades of Distress Inks to create a Moonlit landscape and a dramatic sky.
Previously I have been using only washi tapes for masking off. To reduce its tackiness I always taped washi to my hand first and then only to paper. I didn't enjoy doing this, my skin is very sensitive. And even after this "peeling" procedure sometimes washi tape was tearing my cardstock.
The Purple Tape is more gentle to, but stays tacky after removal. I kept two used pieces and will try to re-use them. This tape is really wide, and I could blend inks without thought to transfer some to the unmasked edge of the panel.
I softly blended a spot with Squeezed Lemonade in the upper right corner and masked it off with a small die cut circle.
Using Carved Pumpkin, Picked Raspberry, Wilted Violet, and Chipped Sapphire Distress inks I made the Halloween sky. I added Black Soot down to the stripe to make the white embossed sentiment pop up brightly.
Keeping all the masks in place I stamped the Spider Web Background image down to the panel in Jet Black ink firstly. Then I applied embossing ink with a pen to a random areas of the stamp and stamped repeatedly. Covered the impression with Bond Powder, melted it and sprinkled Nuvo Glitter.
This glitter is very fine and has a gorgeous shine in a neutral sand shade.
I removed all the masks and coloured the pumpkin image with Copic Sketch markers. All the colours are on the Supplies List.
To finish off my card I fun foam mounted the panel to the black card note.

OMG !!! Ksenija you have managed to pack gorgeous ink blending, beautiful coloring, a touch of glitter and bright moon (using masking) all in a single strip.
